Subject Options for various Streams

The right choice of stream and the decision to opt for the subjects suiting a student’s aptitude at the senior secondary level enables him/her to have brighter prospects in the future. At this juncture, we seek your cooperation and understanding to help the students to choose the right subjects after careful thought and deliberation.

  • The school is offering SCIENCE, COMMERCE & HUMANITIES streams with these combinations (OUT OF 15 SUBJECTS)
  • Physical education, theatrical studies, painting can be chosen as the 6th subject if a student desires to opt for the same. Separate classes will not be held for the same. The support material can be asked from the teacher concerned.
  • We are offering 5 elective subjects in each stream, keeping in view the norms of Delhi University for admission to undergraduate courses.

CLASS I – IX ADMISSION

Limited seats are available for these classes against vacant seats only. Registration and further proceedings are done as per the vacancy.

Important Documents

  • Original Birth Certificate(Class-I)
  • School Leaving Certificate, (Class-II to IX)
  • One Passport size Photograph.
  • Address Proof

Eligibility

A child who is 6 ½ years old as of 1st April of a year is eligible for admission to Class-II and similarly for all other classes with a difference of one year each.

Procedure

The child has to undergo an admission test based on the basics of the previous class syllabus of English, Hindi, and Math’s and also Science for senior classes. A short meeting with both the parents and scrutiny of the documents is also required. The child must secure 70% marks in the admission test to ensure a seat for himself/herself.

Admission Withdrawal

•  If a child must be withdrawn from school, parents are requested to give one calendar months’ notice in writing, failing which, one month’s fee will be charged in lieu thereof. Exception may be made in case of sudden transfer of Government or Military personnel.
•  Those who leave the school in May must in all cases pay the fee for the month of June.
•  Transfer Certificate for children withdrawn is not issued until all dues are settled.
•  Students can be asked to leave the school on the following grounds

•  Disciplinary
•  Unsatisfactory progress in work
•  Detention or repeated detention in a class
•  As a rule, only those students will be retained on the role of the school who can take the school-leaving examination under 18 years of age
•  A student who fails twice in the same class will not be permitted to continue his/her studies in the school.
